Empire Kitchen and Bath is Western Canada's luxury Kitchen and Bath Company and we are seeking an experienced designer to compliment our staff. Our fast-paced business requires a sales designer who is self-motivated and innovative in kitchen and bath designs with a proven track record in sales. We have recently completed our showroom renovation and have a complete selection of premium products available to inspire your designs. You will be working with our prestigious clientele providing them with award-winning kitchen and bathroom designs.

Appliances and Plumbing Fixtures Sales Leader

Looking for a self-starter to manage and initiate all activities related to the marketing of high-end appliances and luxury plumbing products. Position requires a strong familiarity with appliances and plumbing products and fixtures. Required to work closely with other sales and design staff members on renovation projects that involve the supply of appliances and/or plumbing products. Coordinate the delivery, installation and servicing of all appliances and plumbing products to Empire's customers. Responsible for the growth of year-over-year sales for both of these product lines. Management will work with individual to set quarterly and annual sales targets for these product categories.

Work directly with existing Empire Kitchen and Bath customers and market complete range of appliances and plumbing product options. Create new business relationships and opportunities with high-end residential builders (both single family and multi-family), plumbing contractors and potential commercial opportunities.

Individual will be responsible for learning all product brands within these categories and become the designated expert within the organization. Individual will work closely with Empire's Distributors and Manufacturer Representatives to become educated on product lines and pricing dynamics.

Draftperson / Designer

As a draftsperson-designer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Draft and detail cabinetry layout according to customer requirements and standards practice.
• Prepare clear, complete and accurate cabinetry layout, elevation, isometric and detail drawings from sketches, notes and contract drawings. (As per design stage)
• Perform cabinet detailing and create shop order documents.
• Collect information from all available sources including designers, codes, references drawings, etc.
• Perform verification for dimension correctness.
• Incorporate and compile any possible adjustments or changes made necessary by revised drawings;
• Utilize computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software, as well as in-house tools provided such as standard blocks, sections, layer system, and drawing tag/coding.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, regulations, drawings and job specifications.
• Ability to recognize and identify cabinetry codes.
• Basic 3D modeling knowledge and skills.
• Familiarity and understanding of the Alberta or British Columbia Building Codes as they might relate to the fire and safety aspects of buildings.
• A sound understanding of model space / paper space in AutoCAD is essential.
• Maintenance and proper use of the server space by discarding backup files, cleaning auto-save files and deleting the layer filters (on CAD drawings) when they're no longer required.
• Contribute to team effort by providing high quality drawings in a timely manner.
